چکیده
Introduction The incidence of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), one the most prevalent tumors, is increasing rapidly worldwide. Cuproptosis, as a new copper-dependent death form, was proposed recently. However, prognosis value immune effects cuproptosis-related lncRNAs (CRLs) have not yet been elucidated in HNSCC. Methods In current study, expression pattern, differential profile, clinical correlation, DNA methylation, functional enrichment, univariate factor, CRLs were analyzed. A four-CRL signature constructed using least absolute shrinkage selection operator (LASSO) algorithm. Results showed that 20 had significant on stage progression Sixteen tightly correlated with overall survival (OS) HNSCC patients. Particularly, lnc-FGF3-4 single risk factor upregulated tissues negatively impacted methylation probes cg02278768 (MIR9-3HG), cg07312099 (ASAH1-AS1), cg16867777 (TIAM1-AS1) also included MAP4K3-DT, lnc-TCEA3-1, MIR9-3HG, CDKN2A-DT significantly negative effect activation T cells follicular helper OS probability Functional analysis revealed cycle, replication, p53 signal pathways enriched. Discussion novel CRL-related has potential prediction Targeting may be promising therapeutic strategy for

Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Inflammation in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) represents a large majority of cancers arising from the head and neck, especially the oral cavity. Despite advances in therapy, the five-year survival rate remains low due to the number of patients presenting advanced stages of the disease. The role of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in tumorigenesis in HNSCC remains unexplored. The current ...

Background and Aim: Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) is the second most common skin cancer. Mast cells may play a role in tumor progression and metastasis by increasing angiogenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of mast cells by increasing angiogenesis in invasion of head and neck cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional stud...

Introduction: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the most common head and neck malignancy. Smoking, alcohol consumption, viral infections, exposure, oral hygiene, and dietary, genetic, and occupational factors are the most important etiologic factors. The aim of this study was determining the incidence of etiologic factors in head and neck SCC. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectiona...
متن کاملA six-mRNA signature model for the prognosis of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), one of the most common cancers with high morbidity and mortality rates worldwide, has a poor prognosis. The transcriptome sequencing data of 500 patients with HNSCC in the TCGA dataset were assessed to find biomarkers associated with HNSCC prognosis so as to improve the prognosis of patients with HNSCC. The patients were divided into the training a...
متن کاملSoluble HER-2 in Patients with Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Introduction: The presence of HER-2 has been shown to be a prognostic factor in many kinds of cancers, but its role in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is not still defined. The purpose of the current study is to investigate the role of HER-2 in HNSCC and its correlation with various clinicopathologic parameters. Materials and Methods: Peripheral blood samples were obtained ...
